The debate of whether Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo is the real 'GOAT' continues to rage on without any conclusive outcome, and now, a football fan has taken to Twitter to prove that Ronaldo is the 'most-overrated big-match player.'

The 35-year-old Juventus superstar has built an incredible legacy in the sport and is widely revered as one of the best footballers of all time.

But Twitter user Kol Mikaelson has slammed Ronaldo's success in the Champions League and accused him of being the most-overrated big-match player in the competition.

Mikaelson was referring to Real Madrid's three back-to-back Champions League's successes and how the Portugal captain underperformed in different matches.

According to him, Ronaldo "put [in] one of the worst ever UCL performances" in the first-leg quarter-final clash against Wolfsburg in the 2015-16 season.

And in another instance, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was accused of putting in two woeful performances against Bayern Munich in the 2017-18 semi-finals.

He also touched upon the 2015/16 finals against Atletico Madrid where Ronaldo failed to create any impact on the game.

And the 2017/18 finals against Liverpool...

This is the same Cristiano Ronaldo who has won an incredible five Champions League trophies, four of which came at Real Madrid and one at Manchester United

The Portuguese forward is also the outright Champions League top scorer with 128 goals, which puts him 14 ahead of fierce rival Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo will return to Champions League action on the 26th of February as Juventus travel away to Lyon for the first leg of their round-of-16 tie.
