Brazil manager Tite has stated that Rodrygo’s time in the starting lineup will come eventually after snubbing him from the starting XI against South Korea.

The friendly is set to take place later tonight but Tite has already named his starting XI. Firmino, Willian and Casemiro will be replaced by Coutinho, Richarlison and Fabinho against the Asian side.

Rodrygo, who has been in hot form for Real Madrid with five goals from six matches in all competitions this season, will not be in the reckoning to start the game.

According to Tite, the youngster possesses a lot of talent but added that he has to be patient with him and not rush him to the main setup so soon. He also added that Rodrygo will one day be a starter due to the talent that he possesses.

"Rodrygo has a lot of talent and he did well off the bench against Argentina, although we hadn’t planned to bring him on,” said Tite at a press conference, as per AS.

“We have to be patient and give him time so that his training is done in the right way. And for that we have to go step by step -- wait for right time to make the right decision. His time will come with the national team and we can’t rush ahead with things.”

"I have to be responsible with the young players who are coming into the national team for the first time because it is a lot of responsibility. I cannot demand the same from an 18-year-old boy as a veteran… The opportunity will come for Rodrygo to be a starter because he is very talented.”
