From Dani Alves to Andres Iniesta: 5 Players to Have Won the Most Trophies in Football

Brazil and current Paris Saint-Germain full-back, Dani Alves recently created history when he became the most decorated footballer in the history of football, when PSG won the Ligue 1 title.

Here, we take a look at five players who have won the most trophies in the sport.

5. Ibrahim Hassan (Egypt) - 37 trophies

The Egyptian legend, Ibrahim Hassan, won a total of 37 trophies during his career for both club and country, all of which he spent in his home country. Hassan who appeared 125 times for his country, starred for Al Ahly for whom he played in two different spells. 

4. Maxwell (Brazil) - 37 trophies

Maxwell at the time of his retirement was the most decorated footballer in Europe, with the Brazilian winning 37 trophies during spells with Ajax, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

The left-back is currently the assistant sporting director at PSG. 

3. Andres Iniesta (Spain) - 37 trophies

Widely considered to be one of the best midfielders in the history of the sport, Andres Iniesta won a host of honours for both club and country, which included, two European Championships and one World Cup.

The Spaniard also won nine La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League during his 16-year spell with Barcelona.

2. Hossam Hassan (Egypt) - 41 trophies

Egypt's all-time record goalscorer with 69 goals in 169 games, Hossam Hassan won an amazing 41 trophies during his career, which included spells with the likes Al Ahly and Al Ain. He is currently involved in management in the Egyptian Premier League.

1. Dani Alves (Brazil) - 42 trophies

The most decorated footballer in the sport, Dani Alves has now won 42 trophies across spells with Sevilla, Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. 

He has also won the Copa America with Brazil, with the right-back rightly known as one of the best in his position in the history of the sport.
