Lionel Messi was in incredible form on Wednesday night as restored Barcelona's two goal advantage against Tottenham in the 56th minute with his first goal of the game and eventually ended up scoring a brace in his team's 4-2 win at Wembley in the Champions League.

Messi struck the post twice before finally getting on the score sheet after a beautiful move by Barcelona which also included a Luis Suarez dummy.

The 31-year-old who usually prefers to celebrate his goals by running to the corner flag, this time playfully slapped his head from one side to another before blowing a kiss to the cameras which according to Sport, was directed for his children Thiago, Mateo and Ciro.

Erik Lamela reduced the deficit for Spurs with a deflected effort however Messi was not done yet as he latched on to another clever dummy by Suarez to fire past Hugo Lloris for his second goal on the night.

With this win, Barcelona stayed top of their Group B and are currently ahead of Inter Milan on goal difference.

Messi's side will face Inter Milan at the Camp Nou on October 25 on match day three. This weekend though, Ernesto Valverde's side will face Valencia away from home in the La Liga.
