Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has claimed that French forward Antoine Griezmann is the best player in the world after the player ran the show in the team's win against Club Brugge in the Champions League.
Griezmann scored two goals and provided the assist for the third in the 3-1 win over in their group game match on Wednesday.
"I said it last season and I'll say it again - for me Griezmann is the best player in the world," he said, according to Goal.

"He won the Europa League, the World Cup, the [UEFA] Super Cup and finished second in a league in which both Barcelona and Real Madrid are in.
Last season, Atletico had a poor Champions League campaign, when they got knocked out in the group stage, but the team recovered and won the Europa League instead.
However, the player was not shortlisted for the FIFA BEST awards and it is unlikely that he would be in contention for the Ballon d'Or either, considering Luka Modric won the Golden Ball award at the World Cup.
