Italian side AC Milan are reportedly looking to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic in order to ease their goalscoring woes considering that striker Gonzalo Higuain is returning from injury and Patrick Cutrone is slowly recovering.

While Samuel Castillejo has shown that he is capable of playing up front in case of an emergency, the club hierarchy believe that they need to add another striker to bang in the goals with Leonardo and Paolo Maldini looking for a solution which will work in an economical manner.

Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso has reportedly asked the management for a player who can score goals and more importantly is already familiar with the Serie A, which would mean that they require a player who has experience in Europe.

Accoring to Calciomercato, they believe that Ibrahimovic represents the ideal temporary solution and while he is currently contracted to Major League Soccer (MLS) side Los Angeles Galaxy till 2019, they are confident that they can get him for a limited period of time.

The 37-year-old it is understood is open to signing a six-month contract with the club from January to June with the clincher being that both him and his family have always liked the city considering that he played for them between 2010-2012 scoring 56 goals in 85 appearances.

While nothing official has been confirmed as yet, the improved relationship between his agent Mino Raiola and the Milan management could make this surprising deal happen.
