Legendary keeper Gianluigi Buffon is still passionate as ever about keeping clean sheets and could not help but feel disappointed at conceding after Paris Saint-Germain’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Stade de Reims on Wednesday.

Reim's Xavier Chalaverin put the visitors ahead after just a couple of minutes of play, but a well-taken Edinson Cavani brace and goals by Neymar and substitute Thomas Meunier eased PSG to a comfortable win.

Despite the flattering result, Buffon still was annoyed about failing to keep a clean sheet.

“I think we played a good game, and today we also made a big PSG history record with seven consecutive wins. I'm still p****d off when I concede a goal, that's normal, I would like to finish all the matches without a goal," he said after the game, as quoted by Goal

The former Juventus stopper then addressed the healthy competition between himself and Alphonse Areola, insisting they have a good understanding.

He continued: "In all the big teams there are two big goalkeepers Real Madrid play with Courtois and Navas, I think that's normal. Alphonse and I have a good understanding."

Finally, the 40-year-old urged the club to be patient in pursuit of the Champions League.

"We must always improve, also in the Champions League, but it will be done step by step. In the Champions League, you need the best physical and mental condition," Buffon concluded.
