Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has hailed Philippe Coutinho in Saturday's 2-1 win over Real Sociedad at the New Anoeta, mentioning his impact off the bench.

The hosts drew first blood in the first half at their new stadium through Aritz Elustondo's 12th-minute strike. Suarez restored parity just past the hour mark before Ousmane Dembele completed the comeback in the 66th minute to extend Barcelona's perfect start to the campaign.

Coutinho came off the bench before the second half, and Suarez couldn't stop lauding the midfielder for the match-winning impact he had.

"The atmosphere was very hot, but we have to adapt to everything. We were able to overcome it and we have to remember that in matches like these, leagues are won," Suarez told reporters, as quoted by Sportsmole.

"We came back last season too and this win gives all of us confidence. The intention was always to have the ball and create space. In the second half, Coutinho did very well when he came on and he was decisive in the match. He changed it."

"We came back out with plenty of desire. We're all here to help the team and to return from the international break with a win is very good."

Barcelona are now sitting at the top with 12 points from four matches, two ahead of second-placed Real Madrid.
