Manchester City star Fernandinho has insisted that his side is fully committed in breaking the record for the most points and most goals scored in a single campaign in the Premier League, revealing that they will not miss the chance to break the record.

The Citizens were recently in action in the Premier League thrashing West Ham United 4-1 to move closer to the record, with Pep Guardiola's side needing just one more goal to equal Chelsea record of 103 goals in a season while one more win will help them overtake their record of 95 points in a single campaign.

Fernandinho who has established himself as a key part of their side, believes that all the squad players are raring to go in order to break the record.

"It is important, after we confirmed the title and we have the chance to break some records so we go for that. We start today and we score some more goals. I think we made the same record wins as Chelsea, so we have three games to go and we have a chance to do that. We have these chances, clear chances, and we have to go for that. Of course [we want] to keep playing the same way we have so far the whole season," Fernandino said as quoted by Manchester Evening News.

The Citizens have three more matches left to play and will be confident of winning all those games considering they are facing Huddersfield, Brighton and Southampton.
