Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is very impressed with his young French forward Anthony Martial's attitude in the new campaign.

Martial was announced 'Man of the Match' in Manchester United's League Cup tie against Burton Albion in midweek as the Red Devils won 4-1 on the night. The Frenchman scored a goal and assisted another in what was an impressive individual performance.

The former Monaco man has already scored four goals and provided two assists in seven league and cup matches. Jose Mourinho has always stressed on the fact that he looks for the right attitude in players and that is one of his primary requirements from a player.

The Portuguese has now found that in Martial. Speaking to manutd.com, Mourinho praised Martial and said, "I see a great improvement in the person. In his mood, in his face, in his body language. If you want one word: happiness. I am very pleased with his attitude overall, which means it’s easier [for him] to play well."

Martial has started just two games for United this season but Mourinho is pleased with his contributions after coming on from the bench.

Jose concluded by saying, "
He's a happy guy, he's working extremely well. If he starts matches, he tries to do well and if he goes on from the bench, even if it is for just 10 minutes, he tries to enjoy it and to give something extra in his time on the pitch."

Martial will hope to gain a starting spot tonight when the Red Devils travel to Southampton.
