In-form Manchester United welcome Merseyside outfit Everton and United legend Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. The Red Devils have had a great start to the news season after claiming 10 out of a possible 12 points this season. Jose Mourinho's men have scored 12 goals and conceded just two goals up until now.

United come into this match on the back of an impressive 3-0 win against Basel at Old Trafford in midweek. The Reds will be looking to bounce back in the Premier League after their unbeaten start to the season came to a halt in the 2-2 draw against Stoke City last week. However, Everton could prove to be a tough challenge for United.

Team News:

Jose Mourinho will be without Paul Pogba after the French midfielder limped off in the first half against Basel with a suspected hamstring pull. Phil Jones and Eric Bailly will be available for selection after serving their respective UEFA bans.

The Portuguese manager could make wholesale changes to his team from midweek considering his team plays sevel matches in the space of 22 days this month.

Everton, meanwhile are said to be without long term absentees Funes Mori, Seamus Coleman and Yannick Bolasie. Ross Barkley and James McCarthy too won't make it to Koeman's teamsheet after suffering hamstring and knee injuries respectively.

Key Players to Look out For:

Manchester United:

Amid a plethora of talent at Jose Mourinho's disposal, we could have atleast 2-3 key players to look out for in the match against Everton. Romelu Lukaku will be facing his ex-team for the first time since making the move to United and will be hoping to score.

Ander Herrera is expected to fill in for Paul Pogba and the Spaniard will be key to United's counter attacks against a very good Everton midfield.

United fans will hope Anthony Martial turns it up against the Merseysiders along with Marcus Rashford who can create instant impact in the game at his own will. Martial is expected to start on the bench for this clash.

Ronald Koeman has managed to build quite a decent squad for this season although that doesn't seem to show up in their performances. Everton succumbed to a 3-0 defeat against Atalanta in the Europa League last night and have not managed to win any of the last three matches in the Premier League.

Koeman will once again hope Wayne Rooney turns it up against his former side along with Morgan Schneiderlin who would want an opportunity to play against his former team and a manager who thought he was surplus to demands at Old Trafford.

Predicted Lineups:

Manchester United:

De Gea, Darmian, Bailly, Jones, Valencia, Matic, Herrera, Fellaini, Rashford, Lukaku, Mkhitaryan

Pickford, Baines, Keane, Williams, Martina, Gueye, Schneiderlin, Klaassen, Sigurdsson, Rooney, Calvert-Lewin

Even without Paul Pogba, Manchester United and Jose Mourinho now have options to replace the Frenchman. With Nemanja Matic and Marouane Fellaini providing stability in midfield, they could prove vital for United and with Lukaku, Rashford and Mkhitaryan up-front, it would be a shock to see anything apart from a United win especially considering Everton's form off late.

We predict United to win this clash by 3-1.
