Real Madrid are set to make another move to sign Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and are looking to complete the move before deadline day and make him the newest Galactico.

The Los Blancos have a long standing interest in the Spaniard and almost signed him in the summer of 2015 only for an administrative error to break down the move at the last minute.

The La Liga side have been chasing after Monaco's Kylian Mbappe but after giving up that pursuit, are now looking to bring in de Gea in a big money move.

According to the Sun, Zinedine Zidane's side are expected to make an initial offer of £46m for the Spain international, though it remains to be seen if Manchester United would be willing to let one of their best players leave this late in the transfer window.

The emergence of Marco Asensio has made Madrid drop out of the race for Mbappe and they are now looking to bring in de Gea who came through the ranks at rival club Atletico Madrid.

De Gea has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world during his time with the Red Devils and has helped them win the Premier League title, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Europa League. The Spaniard has also been named in the PFA Team of the Year four times during his time in England.
