Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has ordered the club to try and sign Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard. Till recently, City were chasing Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez but seeing the Gunners' reluctance to sell, Guardiola has decided to pursue Chelsea's Belgian star.
The Spanish manager is keen on adding a high-profile attacker to Manchester City's ranks before the transfer window shuts. City has already spent over £200m on signing Danilo, Benjamin Mendy, Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva.
Spanish outlet Don Balon via Express claim that Guardiola is indeed seriously considering signing the 26-year-old Hazard. Until recently, it was being reported that the Belgian star could leave for either Barcelona or Real Madrid but Spanish outlet Don Balon substantiates that Guardiola is actually working hard to land the Belgian at the Etihad stadium.
There have been multiple rumours stating that the former Barcelona manager has already had a chat with Hazard in order to convince him to join Manchester City after which Guardiola instructed Manchester City chiefs to try and sign him before the transfer window shuts down.
Chelsea, meanwhile are adamant that their star man is not for sale at any price, especially to a title rival. Arsenal, meanwhile will be relieved that the Citizens have indeed ended their quest to sign Sanchez as the summer transfer window intensifies.
