Dimitar Berbatov is supposedly closing in on a move to Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.

The Bulgarian striker has been out of the game for a little while following his release by Greek side PAOK in 2016, but looks likely to embark on a new adventure at the grand old age of 36.

If the move materialises, Berbatov will be linking back up with former teammate Wes Brown, who was announced by Kerala on Tuesday.

The pair spent three seasons together at Old Trafford between 2008-2011 and would be playing under their first team coach Rene Meulensteen.

Meulensteen then coached Berbatov after the Bulgarian signed for Fulham in 2013, so it's safe to say they know each other pretty well.

The former Tottenham striker will surely fancy his chances of bagging a few goals - the star has plundered 280 career goals so far, including 46 for Spurs and 56 for United.

Another former Premier League representative of the Indian Super League is Robbie Keane, who recently signed for Atletico Kolkata.
