Barcelona have had a breakthrough in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a move for Ousmane Dembele and the Catalans have reportedly agreed a fee of £90m for the youngster.

The Bundesliga side were reluctant to let one of their star players leave but have succumbed to the player's desire and have accepted a £90m deal after the Catalans agreed to pay the full amount upfront.

Dortmund have suspended Dembele after he skipped training last week to engineer a move to Barcelona but the club have now reportedly given in to his wishes.

According to the Spanish daily Sport, as reported by the Daily Star, the Catalan giants £90m offer has been accepted and the Frenchman is expected to be a Barcelona player soon.

Having sold Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for £198m, the La Liga giants were in the market for a new attacker and in Dembele, they would sign one of the most highly rated players in the world.

After a poor transfer window so far, the signing of the Frenchman will provide optimism for the Barcelona fans who have been crying out for new additions, especially after the home defeat against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup.

The club have already confirmed the signing of Paulinho and are also chasing after Liverpool man Philippe Coutinho in addition to Dembele. The striker has been one of Borussia Dotmund's most important players netting ten goals last season, along with 18 assists and was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.
