La Liga champions Real Madrid will try to sign Manchester United goalkeeper one last time and this time they will be offering the Red Devils Gareth Bale in a player plus cash transfer deal.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper nearly joined the champions of Europe in 2015 but a fax delay confirming the transfer broke down the deal and De Gea ended up staying at Old Trafford.
Manager Zinedine Zidane is in search for a marquee goalkeeper, something the Los Blancos have missed since Iker Casillas left Real Madrid and with just two years remaining on his United contract, Real Madrid just might get their wish if they decide to make Gareth Bale as part of the deal.
Real Madrid could be open to Gareth Bale and David De Gea swap deal - report - Daily Star https://t.co/etD5fUm413— Spain Travel Tips (@Spain_tips) August 13, 2017
According to Express, Real Madrid have given up hopes on signing De Gea this summer but reports claim that Real president Florentino Perez will come back for the Spanish goalkeeper next summer.
Jose Mourinho on the contrary is in no mood to sell his number one goalkeeper unless Real Madrid give Gareth Bale in return as part of the deal. The Portuguese manager is said to be a long-time admirer of the Welsh wizard and might just be willing to part ways with De Gea should the Los Blancos agree to a swap deal.
Zidane has a tough choice to make but he will consider Bale's injury woes in prioritizing his transfer wishlist next summer.
