5 top players who will be free agents in 2022

Top clubs in Europe are always on the lookout to sign the best players in the world, in order to compete for the highest honours and win trophies. While most of the best players are already tied to their respective clubs, there are few who are looking for a move away in search of greener pastures.
Here, we take a look at five top players who will become free agents in 2022.
1. Kylian Mbappe
Widely considered to be a future Ballon d'Or award winner, Kylian Mbappe has already shown he has all the tools at his disposal at the tender age of 22.
The Frenchman has been brilliant for both club and country ever since breaking out with Monaco in 2016/17 and it has been reported that he has refused a contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain in order to get his dream move to Real Madrid.
The way things stand currently, it would not come as a surprise to see the striker plying his trade in Spain come next season.
2. Paul Pogba
Another top French player whose future has been in the headlines has been Paul Pogba, with the midfielder yet to commit his future to Manchester United, amid links to Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus.
The 28-year-old is a top player on his day, but his inconsistency has seen him endure a mixed time at Old Trafford and it will be interesting to see what he decides to do at the end of the season.
3. Ousmane Dembele
Ousmane Dembele moved to Barcelona amid high expectations, but he has struggled to impose himself at the club in his almost five years with them due to persistent injury issues.
When fit, the Frenchman has shown glimpses of his talent, though many believe that the Catalan giants should cut their losses and sell him in the summer.
4. Paulo Dybala
Paulo Dybala is widely considered to be the best player at Juventus and the Argentinian for his part would agree that he has enjoyed a mixed time at Turin - being excellent at times and poor in some games.
The 27-year-old who is the only non-European player to score 100 goals for Juventus has rediscovered the form that made him so exciting to watch, though his future is still up in the air as he is yet to sign a new contract with the club.
The Bianconeri are keen to tie the playmaker to a new deal as they see him as the player around which they will build their side.
5. Franck Kessie
A player who has been linked with a move away from AC Milan, Franck Kessie has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Serie A during his time at the San Siro.
A number of top European clubs are interested in signing the Ivorian, and with his contract yet to be sorted, he might just look for a new club in the summer.
