The 2021/22 season is well underway around Europe, with clubs in action on a regular basis in order to ensure that they win trophies come the end of the season. With club football on a two-week sabbatical due to the international break, it gives managers time to plan and adjust their tactics in order to be more successful.

As usual, there have been a few standout performers this season and here, we take a look at five players who have the most goal contributions across Europe in 2021/22.

1. Jakob Jantscher (Sturm Graz) - 20

A surprising name in Jakob Jantscher tops this list, considering that the striker is not known to be extremely prolific in front of goal. The 32-year-old has been brilliant so far this season, registering 20 goal contributions - which has helped Sturm Graz in a big way.

2. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) - 17

Karim Benzema has established himself as Real Madrid's most important player since Cristiano Ronaldo left in 2018, with the striker becoming their talisman in front of goal.

The Frenchman has been key to the Los Blancos good start to the season, and they will need him to continue his good form if they are to challenge for trophies come the end of the season.

Widely hailed by many as the next big thing in football, Erling Haaland has already shown that he has all the tools to become the next superstar as seen by his brilliant performances in front of goal.

Another player from Sturm Graz, Kelvin Yeboah moved to the club in the summer and has already showed why his signing was a masterstroke by the club. Only aged 21, it will be interesting to see whether he can continue his good form as the season progresses.

Robert Lewandowski has without doubt established himself as the best striker over the past three years or so and he has been the key reason why Bayern Munich has been so dominant in the recent past.

The Polish hitman recently won his maiden European Golden Shoe award, and he will look to add another such honour to his tally soon.
