There are a number of top leagues in Europe, with a number of great players participating in those leagues both in the past and at present. However, not every player is capable of scoring hat-tricks on a regular basis and here, we take a look at five players who have netted hat-tricks in three or more top-five European leagues.

1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 7 hat-tricks in 4 leagues

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang recently scored a hat-trick for Barcelona during their 4-1 win over Valencia, thereby creating a record by becoming the first player in the 21st century to score a hat-trick in Ligue 1, the Bundesliga, the Premier League and La Liga.

It Gabonese striker is known to be a troublesome character at times and despite this it came as a surprise to many that Arsenal let him go as he was arguably their best player in the recent past.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo - 37 hat-tricks in 3 leagues

Cristiano Ronaldo is widely considered as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, and his record is staggering as seen by the 37 hat-tricks he has scored so far in his career.

A majority of the strikers hat-tricks have come for Real Madrid, with the 37-year-old also excelling for Manchester United and Juventus.

3. Emmanuel Adebayor - 5 hat-tricks in 3 leagues

Emmanuel Adebayor is a well travelled striker, having played for a number of top clubs during his career - though he is mostly known for his stint in the Premier League where he played for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

The 37-year-old is still currently active and was last seen at Olimpia in the Paraguayan league.

4. Alexis Sanchez - 4 hat-tricks in 3 leagues

Alexis Sanchez's career has nosedived in the recent past, but there is no doubt that he was brilliant for Arsenal between 2014 to 2018 and was excellent in patches during his time at Barcelona.

The Chilean also netted a hat-trick for Udinese, a club where he broke through into the publics consciousness.

5. Salomon Kalou - 4 hat-tricks in 3 leagues

A surprising name in Salomon Kalou makes this list considering that he was not the most prolific goalscorers for all the clubs he played for during his career.

While he is known mostly for his time at Chelsea, the Ivorian has also played in the Eredivisie, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga so far.
