In a largely unpredictable double gameweek 26, a number of guaranteed performers did not live up to their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price tag. Bruno Fernandes registered back-to-back blanks, leaving his triple captain owners feeling a little disgruntled.
Gameweek 27 sees Premier League leaders Manchester City and Southampton in action twice as they catch up on their postponed fixtures, while the weekend's big game is undoubtedly the Manchester derby on Sunday.
Here are 5 players who are an absolute must-have for your FPL team this gameweek.
Son Heung-Min - £9.5m - Crystal Palace (H)
Son Heung-Min hauled 11 points during the win over Burnley and has two double-digit returns in his past four gameweeks. Only fellow teammate Harry Kane and Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes have been involved in more goals than Son (21). He also enjoys a good record against Palace, with five goals and one assist in eight appearances.
Ilkay Gundogan - £6.2m - Man United (H), Southampton (H)
Benched for the 4-1 win over Wolves, Gundogan can be expected to start both fixtures this double gameweek. He's also a solid captaincy pick, considering he has more goals (11) than any of his City teammates. Selecting a City captain during a double gameweek is always risky given Pep Guardiola’s rotation roulette, but high risk promises high return when it comes to the men in blue.
Michail Antonio - £6.5m - Leeds United (H)
If you haven’t got him yet, what are you waiting for? Tough fixture or not, Antonio is always looking to pounce. A home game with Leeds provides him with the perfect opportunity to add to his goal tally. He has four goals and three assists in eight league appearances since returning from injury, and comes up against a Leeds side who have struggled defensively this season. Their total of 27 away goals conceded is the second-worst record in the Premier League in 2020/21.
Phil Foden - £6.1m - Man United (H), Southampton (H)
Foden could be a differential pick this gameweek, and there might be some doubts over whether he would start, considering Kevin De Bruyne is back in the side. But with City competing on so many fronts, there's a higher chance of Foden getting some playing time. Foden has produced 27 points over his last three starts, scoring twice and supplying two assists.
Harry Kane - £11.1m - Crystal Palace (H)
Kane ranks third in the scoring charts (14 goals) and is the top provider in the Premier League (11 assists). He heads into fixtures against Palace, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Newcastle, and should be a dependable captain pick for the next couple of weeks.
