The Premier League is widely considered to be the best and most competitive league in the world, with a number of top players plying their trade in England. Clubs today compete to sign the best players as per their requirements and it was no different in 2021, with some players shining after their transfer.

Here, we take a look at five of the best signings in the Premier League in 2021.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

Manchester United announced the return of Cristiano Ronaldo among great fanfare and the striker has not disappointed scoring 13 goals in 18 games across all competitions so far.

While there has been criticism aimed at Ronaldo for his poor work rate, there is no doubt that without him the club might not have made the knockout stages of the Champions League and would be even further below in the league table.

2. Martin Odegaard (Arsenal)

Martin Odegaard spent the second half of last season on loan at Arsenal and despite not impressing consistently, the Gunners decided to take a punt on him and pay £31.5million to sign him permanently in the summer.

However, the 23-year-old has finally shown why he is so highly rated this season, scoring four goals and registering three assists in the league with the playmaker capable of playing both in central midfield and higher up the pitch.

3. Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace, on loan from Chelsea)

Conor Gallagher has arguably been the best young player this season, with no one expecting the midfielder to make the sort of impact that he has had at the center of the park for Crystal Palace.

The 21-year-old who is a modern box-to-box midfielder has been brilliant, scoring six goals and registering three assists in the league so far.

4. Demarai Gray (Everton)

Demarai Gray is the steal of the season having cost Everton a meager £1.8m for his signing, with the midfielder scoring five goals and registering two goals.

Gray can play in a number of positions on the pitch and his winner against Arsenal in December will long live in the hearts of Evertonians.

5. Emmanuel Dennis (Watford)

Many were left wondering how Emmanuel Dennis cost Watford only £3.6m considering that the Nigerian has scored a staggering eight goals and providing five assists in a struggling team.

The 24-year-old has already scored against the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea and is without doubt the best player under Claudio Ranieri.
