5 best attacking trios in Europe this season

The football season in Europe is in full swing with clubs everywhere doing their best in order to ensure that they come away with honours at the end of the campaign. However, as usual there have been a few players who have been brilliant when compared to the others and here, we take a look at the five top attacking trios in Europe.

1. Lewandowski (25), Gnabry (8), Sane (8) - 41 goals

Bayern Munich can lay claim to arguably being the best club in Europe in terms of trophies in the recent past, and they have continued in the same vein this season.

The German giants have the best front three in Europe at the moment with Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane combining for a total of 41 goals in all competitions so far this season.

The Polish hitman who many believed deserved to win the Ballon d'Or award this year has been the chief goalscorer, netting 25 goals out of the 41 scored.

2. Salah (19), Mane (9), Jota (9) - 37 goals


Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp have established themselves as one of the best clubs in Europe and in Mohamed Salah have arguably the best player in the world at the moment.

The Reds front trio have scored 37 goals in all competitions so far, with Salah leading the pack with 19 goals to his name, while Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota have netted nine each.

3. Benzema (17), Vinicius Jr (12), Asensio (4) - 33 goals

Real Madrid have enjoyed a mini resurgence under Carlo Ancelotti this season and at the center of it is Karim Benzema who has been outstanding as seen by the 17 goals he has scored so far this season.

Vinicius Jr has come of age this season with 12 goals, while Marco Asensio too has chipped in with four goals.

4. Schick (12), Wirtz (8), Diaby (8) - 28 goals

Bayer Leverkusen have enjoyed an amazing 2021/22 season, with the club currently placed third in the Bundesliga table and they have Patrik Schick, Florian Wirtz and Diaby to thank with the trio combining for 28 goals up front.

It will be interesting to see if the trio can continue in the same vein as the season progresses.

5. Immobile (16), Pedro (6), Milinko-Savic (5) - 27 goals

Lazio might be placed eighth in the Serie A table, but is irrespective of the brilliance of their attackers with Ciro Immobile, Pedro and Milinko-Savic combining for 27 goals so far this season.

Immobile who won the European Golden Shoe in the 2019/20 season has once again been at the forefront for the club, netting 16 goals so far.
