Redknapp explained his contact with Eboue during Sky One's panel show 'A League of Their Own', prompting host James Corden to ask: "How have you got all these peoples' phone numbers? How often are you talking to Emmanuel Eboue?"
Redknapp said, "Can I honestly tell you a story?
"His little boy is the same age as mine and I met him at football. He wants me to become Christian and keeps sending me these messages about turning to God - I don't even know him.
"Every day I get a 'Thought for the Day'."

Asked for an example, he read out: "The quote of the day, 'The day you think you've failed, you've failed your life'."
Redknapp doesn't stop there; he also reveals this little gem on the show:
"'With God, it is never too late to make a new start'."

With the listening audience in hysterics, Redknapp added: "Why is he picking on me? Our kids are seven, they play football together, let's not get too deep, mate."
