FPL picks for gameweek 13

Gameweek 12 saw Fantasy Premier League managers pick up a host of points, with big names like Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Joao Cancelo returning big.

Diogo Jota picked up an injury in the 4-0 win over the Gunners and is a doubt heading into the weekend. The weekend's big fixture sees Manchester United take on Chelsea as caretaker boss Michael Carrick looks to turn his team's fortunes around.

Here are four players you should pick for your FPL team for Gameweek 13.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - £7.8m - Southampton

TAA was the top-scoring player of Gameweek 12, picking up 12 points with two assists and a clean sheet in the win over Arsenal. The right-back also moved level with Joao Cancelo into second place in the overall top-scorers chart. Liverpool are up against a struggling Southampton, and more points are to be expected for the England international.

Joao Cancelo - £6.6m - West Ham

Cancelo has won 26 points in his last two games, and has managed at least 12 points in the games he has provided an assist. His assist for Raheem Sterling's goal against Everton was his fifth of the campaign and has had 27 efforts on goal without scoring. West Ham are fourth on the league table and shouldn't be taken lightly, but Manchester City have enough firepower to come away with three points.

Emile Smith Rowe - £5.9m - Newcastle

The Arsenal youngster is one of the best picks in the midfield of late. Only Mohamed Salah and Burnley’s Maxwel Cornet have scored more FPL points than Smith Rowe in the last four gameweeks. Arsenal are up against Newcastle, who have conceded the joint-most goals (27) in the Premier League this season.

Mohamed Salah - £13.0m - Southampton

Salah is a must-have in your FPL team this season. The Liverpool star has only blanked once in a dozen appearances this season, and has a brilliant record against Southampton, scoring seven times in eight meetings with them. He ranks top for shots (48) and is a perfect captain pick for the weekend.
