​A Bulgarian match from interrupted this weekend when a bird crash landed on the pitch and then refused to move, even when prompted by one of the team's goalkeepers.


The bird quite possibly injured itself when falling out of the sky and then skidding across the turf before it came to a stop, and had no intention of being moved on.

​​At least those involved on this occasion were far kinder than Panamanian defender Luis Moreno back in 2011 when he violently kicked an injured owl off the pitch during a Colombian league match. 


The bird later died from shock and Moreno became an international villain.
