Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to make a number of changes for the visit of Tottenham in the 4th round of the EFL Cup at Anfield on Tuesday night.
The Reds defeated West Brom 2-1 at home in the Premier League on Saturday, but many of the players that started that victory are likely to be rested.
The likes of Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Lucas, and Ragnar Klavan are set to start on Tuesday evening.
Striker Danny Ings may also be involved for only the second time this season after making a series of appearances for Liverpool's U23's side.
Goalkeeper
- Mignolet22
Simon Mignolet will start in net for Liverpool, with the Belgian making his first appearance since the 16th of September.
Klopp has confirmed Mignolet is the Red's second choice goalkeeper behind Loris Karius.
Defence
- Clyne2
- Matip32
- Klavan17
- Moreno18
Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno are set to come in for Dejan Lovren and James Milner at centre-back and left-back respectively as Klopp looks to add fresh legs to his side.
Nathaniel Clyne has played every minute for Liverpool this season in all competitions and the England international is likely to start tomorrow.
Joel Matip or Dejan Lovern could partner Klavan in the centre of defence but Matip may be preferred due to the pace in Tottenham's attack.
Midfield
- Can23
- Lucas21
- Wijnaldum5
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and fellow midfielder Adam Lallana are set to be rested, with Lucas and Georginio Wijnaldum taking their place in the centre.
Wijnaldum came on as a late substitute against West Brom after missing the clash against Manchester United last week with a knee injury.
Emre Can has impressed in the Red's last two matches, completing 90 minutes on both occasions following a stuttering start to the season.
Forwards
- Origi27
- Sturridge15
- Firmino11
Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge may be given a chance to impress in attack, although Klopp may decide to stick with the impressive Sadio Mane and Phillipe Coutinho.
Sturridge and Origi have both netted two goals each in the EFL Cup this season, with neither yet to open their account in the league.
Roberto Firmino is set to complete the Red's front-line on the left-hand side as the Brazilian looks to net his fifth goal of the season.
