Football fans have chosen Phil Foden as England's best player heading into this summer's Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.

The Three Lions are one of the teams tipped to go far at Euro 2024, with Gareth Southgate's side being the favourites to win the competition alongside Didier Deschamps' impressive France outfit.

Expectations are high for England thanks to the wonderful array of talent that Southgate currently has at his disposal. The current generation have been hailed as the nation's new 'golden generation' thanks to the strength in depth, particularly in the final third, which the manager has to call upon this summer.

In a poll conducted by YouGov, England fans were asked to pick who they believed to be the best Three Lions of the bunch right now, selecting Phil Foden as the nation's star man.

Judging by his form during the 2023/24 season, it's easy to see why the attacking midfielder garnered 39% of total votes. Foden enjoyed a career best campaign in 2023/24, winning FWA Footballer of the Year for the first time and netting an impressive 27 goal contributions as Man City won a record-breaking fourth consecutive Premier League title.

Trailing just behind Foden in polling was Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham on 34% of votes. Having joined Madrid in the 2023 summer transfer window, Bellingham almost instantaneously became a superstar at the Santiago Bernabeu thanks to the gluttony of goals he managed to score.

His 23 goals in all competitions helped Madrid to a La Liga title triumph and to a UEFA Champions League final, where he'll face off against his former club Borussia Dortmund.

With 27% of the votes, England's captain Harry Kane came in third in polling. Like Bellingham, Kane also made a blockbuster move in the summer transfer window - moving from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich.

And while he didn't managed to get his hands on a trophy in his maiden campaign in Bavaria, he did manage to score a rather stunning number of goals, netting 36 in just 32 Bundesliga games.

All three players will be key to England's hopes of a first ever Euros triumph in Germany this summer.
