The first month of the 2024/25 Premier League season is in the books, and what a month it was.

We bore witness to great comebacks, stunning individual performances, baffling refereeing decisions (obviously), and even a mini-crisis at Manchester United.

And after all of that fun, we thought we'd have a crack at picking every club's best player of the first month of the campaign.

Arsenal - Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka was many people's pick for player of the season, and it's been so far so good for those predictions.

Arsenal's 'Starboy' has been in fine form thus far, bagging four goal contributions in just three appearances.

If he continues to perform in this manner, expect the Gunners to push Man City all the way in the Premier League title race.

Aston Villa - Amadou Onana

Aston Villa forked out big money to sign Amadou Onana as a replacement for Douglas Luiz, and it's been a masterful bit of business.

The midfielder has been a metronomic presence in the middle of the park, completing over 90% of his passes in all three games, and even chipped in with two goals as well. Nice one.

Bournemouth - Antoine Semenyo

Antoine Semenyo was the main reason why Bournemouth managed to bagged themselves four points in August.

After setting up the equaliser in the impressive draw with Newcastle United, he scored himself to kick-start a rather miraculous comeback against Everton, with the Cherries coming from two goals down to win at Goodison Park before the international break.

Brentford - Bryan Mbeumo

No Ivan Toney? No problem.

Having been given the keys to the Brentford attack after Toney's departure for the Saudi Pro League, Bryan Mbeumo has excelled, netting three in three.

Brighton and Hove Albion - Joao Pedro

Joao Pedro has finally brought his UEFA Europa League form to the Premier League, and we're here for it.

The Brazilian was in spellbinding form in the shock win over Arsenal before the international break, drifting past the Gunners defenders with consistent ease and netting a goal. Top class.

Chelsea - Noni Madueke

Considering the fact that Chelsea have a billion forwards on their books right now, fans weren't expecting to see a whole lot of Noni Madueke early in the 2024/25 season.

However, having been given the right forward berth by new boss Enzo Maresca, Madueke has played exceptionally well.

His hat-trick in the win over Wolves will go down as one of the best performances of the season, never mind just of August.

Crystal Palace - Eberechi Eze

When he's fit, Eberechi Eze is one of the most entertaining players to watch in the Premier League.

In August, he was fit, and it was very fun.

His goal against Chelsea was a proper stunner.

Everton - Peak Marouane Fellaini

If you've been on Everton X/Twitter recently, you'll know that fans aren't too happy with the situation the club currently find themselves in.

And considering the fact that they've lost all three games, gave up a 2-0 lead in added time at home to Bournemouth, and lost 4-0 to Tottenham and 3-0 to Brighton, it's pretty easy to see why.

Despite that, there's been one thing recently which has brought a smile to Evertonian faces, and that's a Marouane Fellaini compilation that has been doing the rounds on social media. So, thanks to that, peak Fellaini is their player of the month... because no one who plays for the club right now deserves to be.

Fulham - Antonee Robinson

The ever-reliable Antonee Robinson has been ever-reliable for Fulham so far this season.

Go figure.

The USMNT international has been the club's most creative player in their first three games, bagging two assists.

Ipswich Town - Liam Delap

Very, very few Ipswich Town fans will forget Liam Delap's stunning goal against Fulham any time soon.

The goal secured the club's first point in the Premier League in over two decades.

Leicester City - Facundo Buonanotte

Although he hasn't been a guaranteed starter for Leicester City thus far, dropping to the bench for the clash with Aston Villa, Facundo Buonanotte has made the most of his minutes.

His goal and assist made him the most potent attacker in the Foxes squad in August.

Liverpool - Virgil van Dijk

A Virgil van Dijk-led Liverpool defence has conspired to concede zero goals in their first three games of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

That's how well Van Dijk has been playing.

Manchester City - Erling Haaland

Three games, seven goals, two hat-tricks.

Yep, Erling Haaland is utterly unstoppable.

Manchester United - Amad Diallo

Having lost two of their first three games, there weren't too many candidates for Man Utd's 'player of the month' award.

Perhaps the only candidate is Amad Diallo, who at least gave it a go in August, netting in the win over Brighton.

Newcastle United - Alexander Isak

In many people's eyes, Alexander Isak is the second best number nine in the Premier League behind Haaland.

It's been easy to see why that's the case in the first few weeks of the season.

The Swede has been fantastic, scoring the winning goal against Tottenham and leading the line immaculately with his hold-up play and willingness to press.

Nottingham Forest - Chris Wood

Honestly, now that Taiwo Awoniyi is fully fit, we didn't expect Chris Wood to get many minutes at Nottingham Forest.

However, Nuno Espirito Santo has kept his faith in the former Newcastle forward, and it's paid dividends.

Wood's two goals have helped Forest to a surprising unbeaten start to the new campaign.

Southampton - Yukinari Sugawara

Southampton are pretty bloody awful.

To be fair to Yukinari Sugawara though, he has scored a goal, so we've given him the nod here.

Well done, we guess.

Tottenham Hotspur - Son Heung-min

Tottenham's performances in August were rather inconsistent and bemusing at times, but Son Heung-min has been reliable as ever at least.

The club captain's brace against Everton was very impressive - despite the quality of opposition.

West Ham United - Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen is, and probably always will be (until he retires at least), West Ham's best player.

August 2024 was no different, with the club's star man continuing to provide in the final third when called upon - netting a vital late winner against Bournemouth in gameweek two.

Wolves - Jean-Ricner Bellegarde

Only one Wolves player has been able to score a consequential goal thus far this season (goals in a 6-2 defeat are not consequential), and that man is Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

He'll need to continue to find the net regularly if Wolves are going to have any hope of staying up.
