Cole Palmer has won the 2023/24 Castrol Game Changer award for his stunning hat-trick against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Having signed for Chelsea from Manchester City on summer deadline day, Palmer has become a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge thanks to his proficiency in the final third.

In total, Palmer netted an extraordinary 22 goals and 11 assists in 33 Premier league appearances in his maiden campaign with the Blues, enjoying a particularly fruitful February, March and April in which he bagged 15 goal contributions in just seven games.

During that particularly brilliant period in front of goal, Palmer enjoyed the best performance of his young career to date against Man Utd at Old Trafford.

The England international popped up with a hat trick in the dramatic 4-3 win over the Red Devils at Stamford Bridge on April 4, including to goals in the 99th and 100th minutes to turned the game in Chelsea's favour.

These incredibly clutch goals have now earned Palmer the coveted Castrol Game Changer award for 2023/24 - an award handed out to the player with the single most game-changing performance of the Premier League season.

Palmer fended off competition from Man City's Stefan Ortega and Kevin De Bruyne, Man Utd's Scott McTominay, Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Liverpool's Darwin Nunez to win the award.

Last season, the Castrol Game Changer award was given to Reiss Nelson for his dramatic late winner against Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.
