Chelsea are set to stick to their £25m asking price for Trevoh Chalobah in the summer transfer window, a report has claimed.

The 24-year-old defender was expected to be on the move last summer, with Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich and Nottingham Forest among those to have registered their interest before ultimately failing to get deals over the line.

He was previously made available for £25m and The Telegraph state Chelsea will stick to that fee again this summer.

The report claims that Chalobah, who is still under contract at Chelsea until 2028, is unlikely to accept a move to a side who cannot offer him regular European football - he turned down the chance to join Forest last summer for that very reason.

As a homegrown player, Chalobah's sale would prove hugely beneficial to Chelsea, and owners are also expected to entertain offers for fellow academy graduates Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Ian Maatsen to try and record as much profit as possible.

Chalobah endured a tough 2023/24, picking up an injury in pre-season which ultimately kept him out of action until late February.

However, when he did eventually return, he quickly established himself as a key figure at the back for Mauricio Pochettino's side, making 17 appearances in all competitions and losing just one of his 13 starts.

With Pochettino no longer in the dugout, speculation continues to mount over the future of Chalobah and his fellow academy graduates.

Thiago Silva will leave Chelsea this summer and the Blues are expected to pursue a new centre-back to replace the Brazilian.

Wesley Fofana will return from injury and join a group which already features Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi, and so there would be clear competition for minutes if Chalobah opted to remain at Stamford Bridge.
