Nicolas Jackson appeared to hint at frustration towards Mauricio Pochettino's departure from Chelsea in his farewell message to the boss.

Pochettino and Chelsea agreed to part ways on Tuesday after his end-of-season review left both parties feeling as though a change was needed, and reports suggest the players were not made aware of Pochettino's exit until the news was made public.

That appears to have been confirmed by Jackson, who released a series of posts paying tribute to Pochettino, the first of which featured two face-palm emojis.

"Love you coach," Jackson wrote in another message. "Wish we could stay together more. But may God continue to bless you and your family. Thanks for the advice and support, you're a true lion and fighter, wish you all the best."

Jackson was not the only Chelsea player to speak out, with both Marc Cucurella and Cole Palmer quickly releasing messages.

Cucurella posted three surprised emojis alongside the message: "Thanks for everything Mister. Good luck in the future."

"Gaffer, thank you for everything you have done for me & making my dreams come true," Palmer wrote. "All the best."

Former Chelsea captain John Terry also admitted he was "gutted" to see Pochettino and his staff leave Stamford Bridge, before sending a warning to the owners and sporting directors about their next move.

"I just hope we don't sign or sell any players until we get a manager in," Terry wrote.

Among the most controversial exits this summer could be those of homegrown duo Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah, who are both up for sale despite playing huge roles in Chelsea's resurgence towards the end of the season.
