In EA FC, you have a wide array of midfield profiles. There's the tough-tackling number six, the all-rounder, the pace merchant, the winger turned CAM, and plenty more.

It takes all sorts to make a world and, in this case, a world-beating team on your PlayStation. Just like in real life, midfielders come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and it's simply no use trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

Finding talent is hard enough but securing the next generation of elite midfielders is even tougher. Picking up young talent can be pivotal to long-term success in EA FC 25, as any seasoned Career Mode specialist knows all too well.

So, to save you a job, here are the best young midfielders aged 23 or under in EA FC 25.

We're including any player in EA FC 25 who can play in midfield (CDM, CM and CAM) as a starting position, discounting those with a midfield role as an alternate position.

Unsurprisingly, it's Jude Bellingham who tops the midfielders aged 23 or younger, with the Real Madrid star rising to 90 overall this year. That upgrade is much deserved following a sensational 2023/24 with Real Madrid that saw him win La Liga and the Champions League, and his ceiling is actually 94 overall.

The Bundesliga houses the next most promising young midfielders in Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala. The international teammates both enjoyed prosperous seasons with Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich respectively, currently sitting in the high 80s and having a potential rating in the low 90s.

Barcelona also boast two of the game's brightest stars. Pedri is rated 86 in EA FC 25, the exact same rating as last year, while Gavi has been handed another 83 rating after an injury hit 2023/24. Both can go as high as 90 overall, with the same applying to Real Madrid duo Eduardo Camavinga and Arda Guler.

South America also homes some excellent wonderkids, with Kendry Paez and Claudio Echeverri boasting enormous potential. However, the former will be joining Chelsea in 2025 and the latter is only on loan at River Plate from Manchester City.

With women's football now available in Career Mode, there are some high-potential young talents that you need to keep an eye on. One is Arsenal midfielder Kyra Cooney-Cross with a potential rating of 88, while Barcelona's Vicky Lopez can hit 90 overall.

South America is always a haven for young superstars and River Plate's Argentinian wonderkid Franco Mastantuono is a top candidate for Career Mode managers. The teenager is valued at just £2.9m in EA FC 25.

In Europe, the best deals are often found outside of Europe's top five leagues. The Eredivisie is a popular scouting ground, with PSV Eindhoven's Tygo Land likely to catch the eye. The 64-rated midfielder can reach 86 overall and is valued at £1.6m.

For those managing a women's side, Athletic Club midfielder Maite Zubieta is a great value-for-money addition. She has a potential of 87 overall at just 20 years of age and is valued at £11.5m. Her fellow Liga F pro Lopez of Barcelona is valued at an astonishingly affordable £2.9m and has an aforementioned potential of 90.
