Best young goalkeepers in EA FC 25
- EA FC 25 officially released on 27 September
- Some of the world's brightest young goalkeepers have received upgrades
- Euro 2024 star Giorgi Mamardashvili is an exciting prospect
We all love our 41-year-old goalkeepers that have to take medication breaks in between saves, but it's equally satisfying to see a young stopper defying expectations at the top level.
Goalkeeper is generally a position that favours older heads, those who have guarded nets across the world. Experience can prove key in an area of the pitch that can chew up and spit out the mentally fragile, with one error potentially derailing an entire career.
However, to become the veteran who barks orders from the back, you have to be exposed to high-level football at a young age. There are a host of goalkeepers who are already waiting in the wings, ready to blossom in the next few years.
Let's take a look at the best young stoppers aged 23 or under based on their EA FC 25 ratings.
Best young goalkeepers in EA FC 25
In the men's game, there appears to be a dearth of talented young goalkeepers. Well, at least according to EA.
The leading candidate is Giorgi Mamardashvili who has been gifted an 85 rating after impressing with Valencia and Georgia. The 23-year-old has signed for Liverpool but returned to the Mestalla Stadium for 2024/25. Perhaps it's the Reds that'll enjoy the Georgian keeper's 88 potential rating.
Lucas Chevalier is the closest to Mamardashvili's lofty standing and is 80-rated, with the Lille goalkeeper followed closely by his compatriot Guillaume Restes of Toulouse. The 19-year-old wonderkid is already 78-rated and has a mammoth 88 potential.
Chelsea went on another spending spree over the summer, with Filip Jorgensen one of their acquisitions. He's been handed a rating of 77, with his replacement at Villarreal, Luiz Junior, just a single rating below him.
There are considerably more promising goalkeepers in women's football right now, with Paris FC Women's Chiamaka Nnadozie (85) and Barcelona Femeni's Cata Coll (83) leading the way. The latter helped the Catalan giants secure another Champions League trophy last season, and these two goalkeepers have the highest potential rating in the game (90).
20-year-old Khiara Keating has impressed for Manchester City Women in the Women's Super League and is already 80 overall. Chelsea Women's Hannah Hampton isn't far off and is 78-rated for this year's game.
But it's Liga F where the real talent resides. Alongside Coll of Barca, five other women playing in the Spanish first division sit in the top 20 highest ratings for goalkeepers aged 23 or under.

Cheap wonderkid goalkeepers in EA FC 25 Career Mode
There are multiple young goalkeepers with sky-high potential who are valued at just a few million. James Trafford's stock took a considerable hit following his tough 2023/24 season in the Premier League with Burnley, but the Englishman still boasts a potential rating of 84 and is valued at just £6m.
Stuttgart teenager Dennis Seiman is yet to enjoy his big breakthrough at a senior level which explains why he's only 65 rated, but his potential is as high as Trafford and his current value barely exceeds £1m.
Brighton's Bart Verbruggen and Chelsea's Filip Jorgensen are slightly older and more experienced options, with the pair flirting with that £15m value threshold.
Over in the women's sphere, Khiara Keating and Adriana Nanclares are probably going to be out of your price range, but don't fear, there are options aplenty. Ava Easdon and Vanesa Jilkova are 67-rated teenagers with potentials of 84 and are valued at a mere £2m.
Spaniards Eunate Astralaga and Laura Sanchez are perhaps the shrewdest investments, however, given their potential ratings of 88 - a +20 upgrade on their current iterations. The Liga F duo are each valued at £3m.
