Barcelona are set to return to Camp Nou in February 2025, a city councillor has confirmed.
La Liga's leaders left Camp Nou at the end of the 2022/23 season and moved to a temporary base at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium while their beloved home underwent much-needed refurbishment.
They had hoped to return before the end of 2024 but confirmed earlier this season that they would not be able to play games at Camp Nou until 2025.
Offering a more specific timeframe, city council member David Escude confirmed the plan is for Barcelona to be back in Camp Nou in February.
"The date given by the vice-president Elena Fort at the last Assembly, which is February, is the one we also have," he told RAC1. "There is no change.
"It is very intelligent on the part of the club to secure a few more dates, as we have already seen that there has been rain and there could be any unforeseen event, but the information we have is for February."
Escude revealed his latest conversation with the club came on Monday as everyone involved works to ensure a seamless transition back to Camp Nou, which is expected to operate at a reduced capacity until the end of the season.
