Picking the Best Potential Juventus Lineup to Face Tottenham in Tuesday's Champions League Tie

Juventus host Tottenham Hotspur at the Allianz Stadium in a huge clash in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.

Juventus are free-scoring at the moment and defending solidly, scoring nine in their last two games and conceding none in Italian Serie A.

They currently sit second in their league, one point behind leaders Napoli.

Here is who manager Massimiliano Allegri could pick.

Goalkeeper

  • Buffon

Gianluigi Buffon will start in goal for the Old Lady after making his 500th appearance for the club in their 2-0 win over Fiorentina.

Defence

  • Alex Sandro

Out of the four defenders potentially starting this Champions League tie, they have scored five goals between them this season. Left-back Alex Sandro opened the scoring in their last home match with a low left footed shot from the centre of the box, following a corner.

Defender Giorgio Chiellini, a strong, aggressive and versatile defender, could cause some big problems for Harry Kane.

Midfield

  • Khedira

  • Pjanic

  • Marchisio

Central midfielder Sami Khedira is able to keep opposing creative players at bay and silence them in the middle of the park with his talent. But aside from his defensive qualities, Khedira adds to Juventus attacking players. He scored two goals and assisted one in their recent 7-0 home win against Sassuolo.

Fellow midfielder Miralem Pjanic assisted one of Khedira's goals.

Forwards

  • Bernardeschi

  • Higuaín

Juventus' forwards enjoy scoring freely and are able to do so easily. In their last match against Fiorentina, Federico Bernardeschi scored a beautiful free-kick ten minutes into the second half. Followed by, Gonzalo Higuaín securing the win for Juventus. Higuain also got a hattrick in the game before in their 7-0 thumping of Sassuolo.

Tottenham defenders will have their work cut out.
