While the NFL postseason is just beginning to get underway, college football's best are beginning to declare for this year's draft.

Add Vols cornerback Rashaan Gaulden to that list, who will be foregoing his senior year to pursue the NFL.

Gaulden was perhaps the most consistent playmaker on the Vols' defense this season, racking up 65 tackles, six pass breakups, three forced fumbles and an interception.

Losing him will definitely be a shot in the arm, as Tennessee is losing Justin Martin, Emmanuel Moseley and Shaq Wiggins as well.

To make matters worse for the Vols, the team has zero recruits at cornerback in the Class of 2018. Packaged with the fact that the only other cornerback with any meaningful experience is sophomore Shawn Shamburger, the Tennessee secondary needs some work done before next season.

Sometimes, though, you need to think of what's best for you before you think of others.

Best of luck, Rashaan!
