Juventus and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has had the career that most professional's could only dream of.

Not only the amount of silverware Buffon has won, but his longevity of still playing at the age of 39 is a testament to himself as a professional

With a career spanning over twenty years, it's fair to say that Buffon has played with and against some of the greatest players to grace a football field and in a recent interview with COPA 90, he revealed who his toughest opponents have been in his illustrious career.

He states: "I really hate strikers.

"I'd say the best I've played against are Ronaldo, the Brazilian one, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. These are the three who... and Zidane. Let's add Zidane. These are the four who would start any team."

It's hard to argue against Buffon's choices, with all four of those players worthy of being on that list.

Winning countless titles with Juventus and a World Cup for Italy in 2006, Buffon will be hoping to add even more to his glistening trophy cabinet for Juventus, whilst hoping Italy can making it past their play-off game against Sweden to make it to the World Cup in Russia next year.
