Arsenal to Re-Sign Wellington Silva Confirms Fluminense President

​Arsenal have completed the re-signing of Brazilian winger Wellington Silva from Fluminense, according to Fluminense club president Pedro Abad.

However, as reported by fansite the Daily Cannon, an immediate move for the winger to Ligue 1 club Bordeaux is set to be finalised later this week.

Silva's initial move from Fluminense to North London took place in 2010. However, the player's 

initial years were fraught with difficulty, as work permit issues stipulated that he spend time on loan before arriving in England.

After five frustrating years and several spells in La Liga, the player was finally allowed into the British isles, but promptly found himself loaned out again, this time to Bolton Wanderers.  

Following an inconsistent season, however, Arsenal agreed to sell him back to his original club in July 2016.

The forward, still only 24-years-old, went on to enjoy an eye catching return, scoring seven goals, and has once again caught the attention of several European clubs.

Following firm interest from Bordeaux, Arsenal have activated a buy-back clause they had previously inserted when selling the forward exactly twelve months ago.

While the Gunners have paid £3.5m to reacquire the player, the French team made it clear that they would be willing to pay £5m for the player, allowing the North Londoners to make an easy £1.5m profit through the series of transactions.

Abad was naturally disappointed to lose the player once again, but explained that there was nothing he could do to prevent it: “When we brought him in last year, there was a clause that allowed Arsenal to buy him back for a fixed amount. 

''Another club (Bordeaux, France) made a proposal that beats that value and Arsenal already said they will exercise this clause. So he should leave.”''
