Real Madrid have announced their second signing of the summer in the shape of Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos in a deal believed to be worth €15m.
Ceballos underwent a medical with Real earlier this week and the club have confirmed that he has signed a six-year contract that promises to keep him at the Bernabeu until 2023.
The 20-year-old Andalucian will be formally presented on the Bernabeu pitch on Thursday 20th July, followed by the usual formalities of facing the media in the press room.
He will then fly to the United States the next day to link up with the rest of the squad for pre-season training and tour friendlies.
Real have already completed the signing of 19-year-old left-back Theo Hernandez from city rivals Atletico this summer, while Jesus Vallejo has also been added to the first-team squad after returning from a successful loan at Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
Vallejo is not currently on tour after representing Spain at the recent Under-21 European Championship in Poland, but the young centre-back has been handed Pepe's old number three shirt ahead of the new season.
