Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp is keen to take Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent on loan for the season.
The winger spent last season on loan at Barnsley and it is likely that he will be loaned out again this season.
Premier League clubs are also said to be interested with Brighton and Bournemouth able to try and lure the winger with the promise of Premier League football.
The 20-year-old came through the youth system at Liverpool, but he has only ever made one first-team appearance for the Reds, in the FA Cup against Exeter City in January 2016.
Redknapp is also keen on Kent's former teammate and Tykes captain Marc Roberts and has made an enquiry.
The 70-year-old has already landed Brighton goalkeeper David Stockdale and is looking to add to his side before the start of the new campaign.
