Borussia Dortmund starlet Ousmane Dembele is nearing an exit from the Signal Iduna Park as Barcelona prepare an £80m offer for the France winger.

According to reports in Bild, via Marca, the 20-year-old's agent met with representatives of the Spanish giants to try and iron out a deal over the weekend.

Dembele has only spent one season in Germany, scoring 10 goals across all competitions and amassing an impressive 21 assists. The former Rennes youngster recently scored his first goal for France as they overcame England 3-2 in a friendly, scoring the winner at the Stade de France.

It's not the first time that Barca have declared an interest in Dembele. Last summer, a deal was on the cards but Dortmund's interest was so strong that the winger opted for a switch to the Bundesliga over much of Europe's elite.

Dembele's reputation has only heightened since then and he has the promise to develop into a world class player. Any move to Ernesto Valverde's side will likely set back Blaugrana in excess of at least £80m, which is reported to be on the table at present.

Sporting director Robert Fernandez sat down with Dembele's agent Moussa Sissoko to try and thrash out a deal but it's likely it will take more time before anything is finalised. Until then, fans of the Catalan giants will be hopeful of seeing one of Europe's brightest talents don the famous colours of Barcelona next season.
