Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has given the club his seal of approval on star Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, and has green-lighted any potential deal for him.
The Algerian looks highly likely to leave the KIng Power this summer after talking up his levels of ambition, and he has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
But the 2015/16 PFA Player of the Year has also caught the attention of La Liga giants Barca according to Don Balon, and would be be welcomed with open arms by Messi, who apparently believes he would make an easy transition into the team.
The Nou Camp club are hoping to take their dressing room to the next level with some solid additions this summer, as they try to claim back the league title next season.
There is little doubt how much ability Mahrez has, but there have been some skeptics of the link because of the 26-year-old's showing last season.
His performance levels were a far cry away from those of the year before, in which he helped fire the Foxes to the unlikliest of successes in the form of the Premier League trophy.
For now though, he seems set to follow N'Golo Kante out of the door after the Frenchman left for Chelsea - his decision to stay put will likely have reduced his market value than what it would have been one year ago.
