Leicester City defender Robert Huth has tweeted (very) thinly-veiled dig at Alexis Sanchez, after the announced new rules to ban players retrospectively found guilty of diving next season.
The FA announced that from next season a panel will review footage of incidents and decide whether a player is guilty or not, before handing out bans.
Former Chelsea defender Huth is apparently happy with the decision, but tweeted a response that suggested that the new rules should go even further...
Great News, add pretending to be injured and crying when you lose and we are really getting somewhere! pic.twitter.com/z5aN7jTQDU— robert huth (@robert_huth) May 18, 2017
The tweet is typical of Huth and his wry sense of humour. However, many Arsenal fans online have noticed that the message is a pop at Gunners forward Alexis Sanchez - who was widely ridiculed for his reaction on social media, after being struck by a throw-in from Christian Fuchs in last month's clash between Arsenal and Leicester.
Feliz por la victoria pero termine con el labio hinchado happy for the victory but ended up with a swollen lip ⚽️ pic.twitter.com/0y301Ztnp9— Alexis Sánchez (@Alexis_Sanchez) April 26, 2017
At the time, Huth responded with a tweet of his own showing his "scars" from the game at the Emirates, yet Arsenal fans are no fuming with the German defender for his so-called mocking of Sanchez.
