Real Madrid have stripped 357 fans of their season tickets after a number of Barcelona supporters were seen to be sat in the home end during Sunday's thrilling Clasico.

Barcelona breathed new life into their season and La Liga title race by claiming all three points thanks to Lionel Messi's last-gasp winner.

It was a fitting to end to what had been yet another epic battle between the two rivals, but as the fallout continues from the 3-2 defeat, Spanish publication Sport report that Los Blancos have taken action against a number of season ticket holders who sold their seat for the match to Barca fans.

Numerous Blaugrana supporters were spotted sat amongst the Madrid fans and not in the away end at the Bernabeu.

This was most noticeable when Messi celebrated his winner in front of what should have been the home end and several brave travelling fans were seen jumping and cheering with thousands of Los Blancos supporters around them.

An investigation launched by Madrid has now seen them ban 357 season ticket holders from future matches and request the return of the tickets so that they can be sold to other supporters.

The official line from the club is that the decision has been made to remove the season tickets as those involved are deemed to have taken part in an 'illegal practice' by selling their seats for the match.

It is likely that those who did offer their seats out sold them at an inflated price and they will now have their season tickets withdrawn as punishment.

Defeat on Sunday saw Barcelona move ahead of Madrid on goal difference, but Zinedine Zidane's men have a game in hand and are in action once again on Wednesday evening when they face a difficult trip to Deportivo La Coruna.
