Manchester United are about close in on Torino FC striker Andrea Belotti, however, they will need to meet the Italian's £84m release clause, according to the Daily Mirror.
Belotti, who signed a new deal last year with Torino FC until 2021, has been under the microscope of several giant clubs. The 23-year-old striker has so far scored 25 goals in this season's Serie A campaign.
The Italian starlet has also broken new records, including to become the first player to score 24 goals under the age of 24 in a single Serie A season since Andriy Shevchenko in 1999–00. His extraordinary performances for the Granata has made him a potential signing for Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils boss is now searching for replacements as star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic sustained a knee injury in the Europa League quarter-final match against Anderlecht.
With the Swedish striker sidelined for the rest of the season and potentially much longer, and withWayne Rooney tipped to depart Old Trafford, the Premier League giants are in search of two forwards.
It looks like Mourinho will have to do some shopping for the next transfer window in order to reshape the club's forward line. The Portuguese manager is also targeting Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann, however, it is currently unknown where the Frenchman will sign in the summer.
Belotti won't come cheap if Manchester United are to sign one of the most in-form strikers going around in Europe.
