Burnley defender Michael Keane will leave Turf Moor this summer, according to reports, with the young England international having shone for Sean Dyche's side this season.

As reported by Sky Sports News, Michael Keane has now informed the Burnley of his intention to move on to pastures new this summer.

Michael Keane is reportedly now a major target for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho. Keane left Old Trafford in 2015 for an undisclosed fee to Burnley, and the Portuguese boss now considers that to be a mistake and is plotting a move to bring the youngster back this summer.

Jose Mourinho has previous when it comes to resigning former talent for his club. Mourinho resigned Nemanja Matic for Chelsea for £21m, and is aware that Keane will not come cheap.

With a premium placed upon young British talent, partly due to the homegrown rule, Keane will reportedly cost upwards of £30m.

Manchester United will likely have competition for the 24-year-old's signature, with Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea and Tottenham all eager to secure the player.

However, Manchester United will surely be in the driving seat should they make a bid given that Keane came through the ranks at Old Trafford, spending many years at the English giants.
