A minute before the own goal, Cristiano Ronaldo had scored to level the score at 1-1 on the night and put Madrid 3-2 up on aggregate with only 14 minutes remaining.
With the Spanish club seemingly on their way to the semi-finals, Ramos was clearly feeling very confident and upbeat.
Footage has emerged of the Spain international trying to display typical captain-behaviour by encouraging the fans to sing and cheer louder.
