The USA have launched their 2017 away kit for the country's national teams, and it looks oddly familiar.

Announced on Wednesday, and reported by Mail Online, the new kit shares a striking resemblance to that worn by the England national team.

See below:

To be used as an alternate kit, the new strip boasts a bold red colour palette, made from recycled polyester and features Nike's AeroSwift technology.

The shirt also includes '1 Nation' and '1 Team' on the inside cuffs of the sleeves as well as 'USA' along the neckline.

Moving further down, the red shorts feature black elastic side tape, and the socks are red with orange along the calf.

It seems that the kit designers at Nike may have taken the easy route, simply changing the badge and side tape of the England kit to create a 'new' strip.

Perhaps Nike found a few spare boxes of England kits in a warehouse and fancied economising a little. Perhaps they thought no one would notice.

Maybe this England inspired kit is an attempt to start playing football like Kane and Co, but if that's the case, they might be barking up the wrong tree there.

Nevertheless, the USMNT intend to debut this kit on March 24 against Honduras, for their World Cup qualifying match in San Jose, California.
