Borussia Dortmund Eyeing Up Move for Spurs' Nacer Chadli

Borussia Dortmund are said to be considering a £12m move for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Nacer Chadli.

The Sun report that the 27-year-old could be on his way out of White Hart Lane this summer, also claiming that the Bundesliga side are monitoring the situation, despite club officials insisting that they were done with transfers this summer.

It is understood that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to get rid of the Belgian as he has fallen quite low in the pecking order, and will be relieved with Dortmund's reported interest.

Dortmund have already made significant moves in the transfer market during the break, having signed Andre Schurrle, Ousmane Dembele, Sebastian Rode, Mario Gotze, Mikel Merino, Emre Mor, Raphael Guerreiro and Marc Bartra.

Adding Chadli to such an impressive list would obviously stiffen competition for places in the side, yet there seems to be no hope for the player at Tottenham, with Pochettino looking to improve on his third-placed finish from last season.

The attacker was a key part of the side following his recruitment in 2013 and he made an important contribution that season. However, his form has taken a dip since, and he is now looking on from the periphery.

He was previously linked to Swansea City, with reports claiming that an £8m move was on the cards.

Whether Dortmund would be willing to pay an extra £4m for a player whose game has declined over the past season, especially after adding such talent to their squad in recent weeks, remains to be seen.
