Liverpool are showing interest in an old transfer target, 24-year-old Cristian Tello, with Spanish publication Marca claiming that Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the attacking winger, who looks to be out of time at Barcelona.
Tello is currently still contracted to Barcelona after spending two-years out on loan, with 18 months spent out at Porto and the final six months at Fiorentina.
The report states that Fiorentina would like to sign Tello on a permanent basis, but an interest from Liverpool might stall the Italian giant's progress.
Barcelona will more than likely want to move Tello on, as he doesn't look to fit anywhere in the first team picture when considering that whilst he's been out on loan, Barcelona have added Luis Suarez and Arda Turan to their roster.
The Spanish champions won't think he's done enough whilst out on loan either. He scored 10 goals in 57 games for Porto, and netted two in 17 games for Fiorentina, with four assists. Barcelona would have expected to see more goals than that if they were to be persuaded to keep Tello on their books.
But Jurgen Klopp is still said to be interested in bringing the Spaniard to Anfield. Liverpool have already been busy in the transfer market, with keeper Loris Karius on his way.
Young midfielder Marko Grujic and defender Joel Matip are already signed up to Liverpool too. They are yet to bring in an attacking player for next season but Tello could provide solid back-up to an already crowded attacking midfield.
